MARKETPLACE of OPPORTUNITIES
Opportunities are everything in life.
In March 2009 we started off with a clear goal:
We wanted to give bright and curious kids from all walks of life access to the wonders of the world. We wanted them to explore their talents and passions, to learn languages, go abroad, taste new food, sing new songs, learn how others live, understand what others think and realize why different does not mean better or worse but just different.
How? By bringing families' haves and wants together.
These were our criteria to make it work: Early enough in life to make good use of the most formative learning years. Easy enough to give red tape no chance to mess things up. Affordable enough for the family budget. Exciting enough to make kids long for wider horizons. Enjoyable enough to make them curious for more and - of course! - to get them to tell their friends about it. Flexible enough to adjust to growing bodies, minds and ambitions.
And finally, safe enough by letting youngsters discover the world within a global network of reliable and committed families.
Opportunities to learn a new language, to master a new skill, to meet new people and discover new thoughts and ideas. Chances to try out a job or a workplace, a sport or an instrument, a lifestyle or a philosophy, a culture or an environment.
Options for one child's special needs and for another's exceptional talents, possibilities to tackle new challenges and to test out personal limits.
International family-to-family partnerships have proved to be a successful strategy. Now we know that they can do a lot more ...
Fridays for Future: Our community stands for environmental responsibility. Our children are part of Greta's generation.
For particularly engaged and committed young activists we started the CONNECTED program to introduce them to mentors. Over the next years, our focus will be on environ-mental ambitions and education for climate change action. Global Natives for Future: Please learn more here to see how qualified experts and interested young idealists come together! We even have a few Nobel laureates "on offer" ;))
In years to come, no one should ever have to say again:
"Sadly, we didn't have the opportunities back then."
We are tapping into the community's accumulated intelligence for synergies: Ambitious youngsters who're ready to work for the planet and for society can count on support! Join us if you want your sons and daughters to be part of this!
For a taste of what's possible please have a look at the first cases of CONNECTED matches - and of course at the other case studies too, they are a storybook of human potential brought to play.
