The basics from a Global Natives perspective:
We cooperate to raise global citizens. In family-partnerships we support language skills, curiosity and wider horizons. But for our kids to truly understand, mastering a language is just a start. Children need to know what to make of what they hear and read. And that's why we cultivate a strategy to deal with bullshit in daily life. After all, it is not taught in school, not yet anyway. We know that moralizing does not work.
But competence, awareness and fact-checking does. |
Savvy. The game.Unquestioned acceptance of what we hear, read and see is a
sure recipe for disaster. That's why we cultivate common sense! |
It comes with active fact-checking training for the entire family, provides you with plenty
of input for good conversations and holds unlimited surprises for both generations.

Kids thoroughly enjoy it. They learn really well from the mistakes they watch grown-ups make! Check it out!
Sincere. The community.
You can argue about truth. Your truth may not be someone else's. But sincerity is an attitude, a very personal mindset.
Back in 2014 we embarked on the Online Honesty Experiment. It was a fascinating experience, received a lot of attention and led to a major rethink in communication between the families in our community. As a result, all Global Native families have adopted the cut-the-crap guidelines and taken the pledge to online honesty. In consequence their profiles have changed profoundly, so has the quality of dialogue and so have resulting partnerships!
