For most problems, there are already solutions out there somewhere.
Some are good ones, few are brilliant.
These are the ones we want to find. Or come up with.
How have other people, companies, organizations or even governments
solved a specific challenge? And how can we do much, much better?
Innovative politics go miles beyond troubleshooting.
Young Global Natives use their superpowers - each other - to find
the best solutions, locate and understand best practice models
and then let their ideas mate and multiply.
On Jan 1st, 2022 we started our "best of global thinking" databank.
It's a honeymoon for the thoughts in our heads.
Whose idea is this? |
This is part of the Young Global Superpowers agenda.

Why? |
We have a great demand for new forms of international cooperation
and for knowledge that can't simply be googled. Truly relevant knowledge does not come from looking things up. It comes from insight and understanding. It comes from knowing the context, from understanding the backgrounds, the history, the not-so-obvious connections. Truly relevant solutions come from inspired learning from one another. |
Why the name? |
In 2010, Matt Ridley held one of the most remarkable TED talks:
"When ideas have sex". You can watch it here (16 min.) He tells the story of innovation by the mating of ideas, people and cultures. Just our thing. |
What's the status? |
It is up and running and will operate in beta for the next two years.
|
Who will benefit? |
Everyone who finds or comes up with valuable ideas and solutions
and thinks they should be accessible to others. Everyone who wants to build on them instead of starting from scratch. And anyone who struggles with a problem and can't help thinking: Surely, there is a solution to this somewhere! In the long run, mankind. Because in this new generation, more and more politicians and thought leaders will have and freely use their access to each other and to each other's solutions. See the Bolder Bonds to get an idea just how wide the range of topics is! |
Any case studies? |
Soon, we will compile a first collection. We love to tell a good story.
Meanwhile, see what these young people have to say ... Or think what you would do if you wanted to do any of these things: Design a school system that does justice to the 21st century and prepares for the 22nd. Find an ingenious way to make the Taliban want to educate girls. Entice conservative Americans to take an unbiased look at socialism. Effectively show church leaders the disconnect between them and life today. Convince the Russian population that the West is not their enemy. Find more effective tactics to tackle bullshitters on- and offline. Make alternative energy attractive to the most militant deniers of climate change. Demonstrate how health insurance for all is good for the economy. Etc., etc. ... Now add any seemingly unrealistic ambition of your own! None of this can be done without a congenial network of bright minds who genuinely enjoy supporting each other and have the tools for it. And that goes for millions of more modest challenges too. |
Who coordinates this? |
Kelly Fitzpatrick is in charge of the project.
She is available for questions, suggestions and ideas at all times! |
