The amazing Fridays for Future movement inspired our mentoring strategy for young climate activists as we realized: The post-pandemic future will clearly require a reboot of all systems.

A BOLDER BOND!
Matching idealism with know-how!
Throughout history, idealism has all too often been viewed as wishful thinking, a youthful phase that will pass with time. "What do these kids know about the necessities of making a living? But they'll get real soon enough ..."
Sounds familiar to you? But to think like that is such a painful waste of momentum and creativity!
Our world needs idealistic drive and enthusiasm more than ever before. Therefore ...

Our world needs idealistic drive and enthusiasm more than ever before. Therefore ...
Here's to the game changers, activists, visionaries and idealists:
A programme for young Global Natives ready to make an impact and contribute to a better world.

A BOLDER BOND has a unique pool of mentors.Global Natives are per se open-minded, eager-to-learn, cooperative folks. Their knowledge and experience comes from a wide range of professional back-grounds. Our members work in universities and in research, in media and in management, in politics and government and in many other places serving society and progress. As mentors, they are prepared to share what they know, offer insight, give advice and access to their networks.
They represent the collective expertise of our entire network. |
Bold mentoring helps to walk the talk.
A BOLDER BOND serves young people
|
in playing an active role in future politics,
in supporting democracy and fight corruption effectively, in giving education a new and dynamic framework, in pushing medical progress, in using the creative arts and media to benefit society, in achieving excellence in their special field of interest, in building a better economy in tune with the planet, in creating new models of mobility and energy resourcing, in technological and scientific progress, in agriculture and world food policies, in getting involved in international cooperation, in learning about international military and trade agreements, in defending humanitarian values and civil rights, in cultivating social bonds, traditions and cultural diversity and in pushing forward in life sciences. |
politicians, scientists, entrepreneurs, experts
|
Experienced members, themselves parents and passionate Global Natives for Future, explain and teach in-depth, anticipating what teenagers can't even know they should be asking.
Because the relevant questions are all too often not the obvious ones ... |
to pass on crucial knowledge and insights,
to convey what experience has taught them,
to give access to insider sources of valuable information,
to explain how the not-so-obvious connections work,
to introduce new talent to specialized networks,
to show specific correlations and cause-effect-chains,
to provide historic and geographic context not taught in schools
and to guide and coach bright youngsters to achieve their best.

Mentors specify what to look out for and what the unwritten rules might entail, give advice on discerning the quality of information and suggest how to find suitable partners.
Here's how bolder bond matches are made:
Senior members present their expertise by creating a profile page with a brief biography, articles and links to give an overall impression of their field of excellence. They declare themselves approachable and ready to become mentors.
|
Potential mentees have to apply and qualify. They have to convince a jury, demonstrate their commitment and confirm this with a pledge. Once official approval is given they are given access to the experts' profiles.
|
Mentoring bold ambitions |
