Maria, who grew up in a skiing resort high up in the Tyrolean Alps had little choice but to take over her parents’ hotel, she was the only child. Although this meant a solid financial background it also prevented her from doing what her heart truly wanted: her dreams always took her to the sunshine of Hawaii and the surf of the Pacific Ocean.
Her husband Joe established inspiring connections with two Australian families through The Global Natives Club when their son Lukas turned twelve. Since then Maria, Joe and Lukas have run up many air miles travelling between Bondi Beach, the Snowy Mountains and Innsbruck airport.

Through these trips they found out that quite a lot of other Austrians
and Australians move between these destinations too and have either winter or summer all year round. 

An attractive and interesting lifestyle, particularly for folks in the hotel and catering business!

Two years on, Lukas speaks English like a true Aussie and surfs like a natural! And Maria and Joe are happy.
