Every child is different in some way, be it through a special need or a specific
talent, a particular handicap or a unique ability, an outstanding accomplish-
ment or an appeal for help, an exceptional ambition or a rare condition.
Clearly, no child is born to conform to a norm.
In our thirteenth year, this is what we celebrate.
Access to opportunities usually means having to meet certain criteria. Norms and standards want to be met. Schools and universities, institutions and agencies, they all have their rules and thresholds. Sadly, that's how we learn early in life where our limitations are.
We create more room (and inspire more courage) for private initiatives!
Global Native kids have the freedom to develop and thrive without institutional restrictions: Their parents cooperate for opportunities and come to their own agreements.
Individually, from family to family.
Here's what we have learned and understood:
The world our children have to cope with and make the most of is decidedly different
from the past. They will need innovative thinking and a very enterprising spirit.
We've set out to empower their individual talents and encourage unorthodox ideas.
And we acknowledge that they won't need top marks in all subjects to truly excel in one.

In March 2021 we entered into our 13th year. Our guiding theme for it is Not-the-norm.
Not-the-norm celebrates the glory of the original child and looks into the many ways of creating opportunities in tune - not in battle - with all its strengths and weaknesses.

Please read not-the-norm and contact us for everything you want us to consider.
We'd love to hear your ideas and suggestions, your personal experiences and the conclusions you have drawn. Tell your own story of being not-the-norm, as a child or as a parent, as a teacher or a scientist.
Contact us if you are a journalist interested in the topic.
We've set a year's timeframe from April 2021 to March 2022. This year is dedicated to take a very careful and critical look at all aspects of non-conformity, what it means to the individual and to society, how it can be turned into an asset and what we need to learn to get better.
Your support and your thoughts are part of the story!
